I stopped by during their Happy Hour. It was pretty empty because it was a snowy day. The food I indulged in was good but the service was a bit slow for the restaurant to be empty. We had to get up to find the waiter anytime we needed a refill of water or to add something to our order. For starters, started with the Chicken empanadas (Chihuahua cheese, poblanos and caramelized onions, pico de gallo and aji verde) and Queso Fundido (Pico de gallo, roasted poblanos and caramelized onions, served with housemade chip blend. For my meal, I ordered the Rio-Style Chicken Tacos (caramelized onions, poblano peppers, peanut-plantain crumble, cilantro aioli). You have an option to get 2 or 3 tacos. I went with 2 which was more than enough. The tacos are served on corn/flour blend tortillas with a delicious vinaigrette slaw and rice and beans. For my drink I got the Muddled Strawberry Caipirinha (Sao Paulo Cachaca, lime, sugar, fresh strawberries and soda). I also ordered a Strawberry House lemonade. I'm glad I ordered the house lemonade because I did not enjoy the Strawberry Caipirinha, so I added the strawberry lemonade to it and it made it taste better.

We had a great time at this restaurant on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious, with the chicken empanada, calamari, and Sushito pepper being particularly noteworthy. The chicken tacos, crispy broccoli tacos, and shrimp tacos were also very tasty. The coconut mango rice was a delicious side dish. The service could have been improved in a few areas. We were only given 2 menus for a party of 6, and there was some confusion when we asked for sweet potato fries (we were told they only had Boniato fries, which we later found out are the same thing). We would have also preferred to sit in the area with lower tables, and we were seated near the kitchen entrance even though the restaurant was not completely full. Additionally, it took a long time for our drinks to arrive, which suggests that the restaurant may have been understaffed. Overall, we had a great meal and would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, even if it could have been improved in a few areas.

I was very impressed with the service and food at Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar. I met a friend here for dinner a few weeks ago. We enjoyed our dinner on the patio. We both enjoyed a few cocktails and split a few starters and sides. We enjoyed the crispy brussel sprouts with no ham, Brazilian Cheesy Bread, Queso Fundido, Sweet Plantains, salsa, and guacamole. The food was so fresh and flavorful. We both enjoyed every dish! This is a great location and we enjoyed walking the shopping area after. I will definitely be back when I am in town.

Food, drinks, and service are great. Large outside seating and music playing in the background is great. I had a blast at their last Cinco deMayo live music. Energy was great. I had a blast.
